maternity photoshoot faqs

When is the best time for a maternity photoshoot?

The ideal time is between the 28th and 34th week of pregnancy, when your belly is beautifully round but you still feel comfortable moving and posing.

Where does the photoshoot take place?

Sessions can take place at the FOTO IDEA family studio, outdoors, or in the comfort of your home — depending on the mood you’d like to create and the weather conditions.

How long does a maternity session last?

Usually around one hour. This allows plenty of time to relax, change outfits, and capture a variety of poses and moments without any rush.

Can I include my partner or other children?

Absolutely. Many moms-to-be love including their partner, older children, or even the family pet to create timeless family memories.

What should I wear?

I recommend comfortable outfits that highlight your baby bump, in neutral or pastel tones. I don’t provide dresses directly, but I can suggest trusted makeup artists and hairstylists if you’d like professional support.

Will I receive all the photos taken?

You’ll receive a carefully curated selection of professionally edited images in low resolution. High-resolution files can be purchased separately.

How long will it take to receive the photos?

Usually, you’ll receive your edited files within a few days after the photoshoot.

Can I add a newborn session after birth?

Of course. Many families choose to continue with a newborn session to tell the full story — from the bump to the baby’s first days. I personally collaborate with experienced newborn photographers who can come to the FOTO IDEA studio to carry out the session.
